- W artykule przedstawiono różne koncepcje kategorii pracy. Szczególną uwage poświęcono zagadnieniu pracy w poglądach filozofa, socjologa i ekonomisty Józefa Supińskiego. Omówiono istotę pracy oraz różne aspekty tego pojęcia: robota, zatrudnienie, praca. Przedstawiono zagadnienie pracy jako czynnika wzrostu bogactwa społecznego.
Work is one of the fundamential categories of the theoretical system worked out by Józef Supiński (1804-1893), philosopher, sociologist and economist, author of two works published in Lvov "The General Thought of the Psychology of Universe" (1860) and " Polish School of Social Economy (1862 and 1865). Both these publications were written at the closing period of Polish Romanticism and they were an inherent part of that epoch, although positivist elements played in them a much greater role than in the case of Polish thinkers writing in the 1840's, namely August Cieszkowski and Henryk Kamieński.
