Abstract
Autorzy przedstawili wybrane aspekty ekwiwalencji wiedzy i usług w systemach zarządzania wiedzą, a szczególnie metody reprezentacji obiektów (np. szkoleniowych) oraz ekonomiczne uwarunkowania podejmowania wyborów. Zaproponowali również wykorzystanie koncepcji usług sieciowych - web services oraz services oriented computing i związanych z nimi zagadnień do celów stworzenia platformy, pozwalającej na dokonywanie ekwiwalentnych wyborów pomiędzy skodyfikowaną wiedzą a usługami ekspertów.

Currently, the prevailing approach to knowledge management systems typology identifies two main groups of systems: knowledge repositories and expert directories. However, many researchers point out, that there is another category of knowledge sharing, which does not fit into the hierarchy, namely electronic services. The authors therefore modify and propose the typology, by adding a new category - electronic service offering systems. Web services are considered a very special form of electronic services, and further conclusions are drawn with web services (instead of very ambiguous electronic services) in mind. After proposing the new hierarchy, they introduce a notion of knowledge equivalence, and investigate methods of assessing equivalence of different types of knowledge. They conclude their work with a general model of equivalence assessment. In the discussion part, they highlight directions, into which the model should be developed. (original abstract)
