W opracowaniu omówiono genezę i strukturę banku centralnego Stanów Zjednoczonych, cele polityki pieniężnej oraz jej instrumenty, nadzór nad bankami, niezależność i samofinansowanie SRF. Przedstawiono również dotychczasowe efekty polityki pieniężnej Fed.
