- W artykule przedstawiono dwa podejścia do liczenia inflacji w rachunkowości: rachunkowość wg stałej siły nabywczej jednostki pieniężnej, rachunkowość wg kosztów bieżących. Omówiono rachunek zysków i strat w pieniądzu stałym i w koszcie bieżącym. W zakończeniu opisano zyski i straty wynikające z posiadania aktywów pieniężnych.
This paper has shown a variety of the approaches to the inflation accounting. The existence of a high rate of inflation related to the transactions recorded under the historical cost principle undermines the economic validity of the basic accounting statements. The companies with the multinational operations must be concerned with the effects of inflation, even though their principal operations are in a country where inflation is not a significant problem. Failure in recognizing the accounting distortions that is caused by inflation can lead to a misunderstanding of the reported financial results. The nature of the distortions that take place can be illustrated with simple examples. There are two general ways recommended to handle the problem of inflation. One uses the general price levels;the other uses the specific price levels. In this paper we have some differences between how the two method were implemented have been presented.
