- W artykule omówiono istotę lokat inwestycyjnych oraz dotychczasowe i hipotetyczne kierunki rozwoju rynku lokat inwestycyjnych w Polsce. Dodatkowo porównano lokaty inwestycyjne oferowane prze banki w Polsce i dokonano oceny tego typu lokaty, z punktu widzenia klienta. Na koniec porównano lokatę indeksową z funduszami gwarantowanymi oferowanymi przez fundusze inwestycyjne.
In this paper, the investment deposit is considered as a new banking service provided by banks in Poland. First, the essence and significance of investment deposit for both the customers and the financial institution (bank) is highlighted. This is followed by the analysis of the most important trends of development of the investment deposit on the Polish financial market, taking into account also these hypothetical ones. This analysis is supplemented with the comparison of investment deposit in the field of fundamental elements of construction - minimum amount of money, duration of a contract, amount of interest payment, indexes and additional profit. The authors take into consideration the investment deposit provided by four banks in Poland: Bank Zachodni WBK S.A., Citibank (Poland) S.A., Kredyt Bank S.A. and Bank Pekao S.A. Next, the authors assess - from clients' point of view - investment deposit (by presenting both the most important advantages and disadvantages). In the last part of this paper one pay attention to the alternative manner of investing on the Polish financial market a guarantee fund provided by investment companies.
