- Wielka różnorodność towarów wymaga ich klasyfikowania w celu uporządkowania różnych działań ludzkich związanych z operacjami wykonywanymi na tych towarach. W statystyce i towaroznawstwie system klasyfikacyjny oznacza całość podzieloną na części na podstawie przyjętych jednolitych zasad i kryteriów klasyfikacyjnych. W zależności od rodzaju prowadzonej działalności gospodarczej i regionu geograficznego podmioty gospodarcze stosują różne klasyfikacje towarowe zgodnie ze swoimi potrzebami, wymaganiami prawa i kontrahentów. W artykule przedstawiono najczęściej stosowane kryteria klasyfikacji towarów i opisano najważniejsze globalne systemy klasyfikacyjne.(abstrakt oryginalny)
The article introduces the term of classification system and illustrates the difference between reference, derived and related classifications. The most important aims, rules and criteria of classification systems have also been offered. Additionally, the article shows the results of the most recent research concerning the state of development of a few most important global economic classifications. It also presents: destination, code structures, names of the classifications levels, and the names of organizations which are responsible for providing and maintaining classification systems. The chapter 'Commodity Coding' focuses on the function of a few global systems of commodity codification and the structure of NATO Stock Number. After that, the article presents the most important issues concerning the regulations of the international transport of hazardous materials (ADR). (original abstract) - Dostępne w
