- W ciągu ostatnich dwóch dziesięcioleci, globalizacja osłabiła granice gospodarcze. W wyniku globalizacji, jasno zdefiniowane gospodarki krajowe nie są już podstawową jednostką w handlu międzynarodowym. Liberalizacja światowego handlu prowadzi do ujednolicenia rynku i zaniku różnic regionalnych, które pod względem historycznym, stanowią jedną z głównych sił napędowych zmian. Nowe siły koncentracji i nowe zróżnicowane mechanizmy pojawiające się w gospodarce światowej wymagają zastosowania nowych koncepcji teoretycznych, co jednak nie oznacza podważenia klasycznej teorii, lecz jedynie wzbogacania o nowe aspekty.
Over the past two decades, globalisation has reduced economic borders. As a result of globalisation, clearly defined national economies are no longer the obvious basic entity of international trade. The global liberalisation of trade is leading to the homogenisation of markets and the disappearance of regional differences which, in historical terms, constituted one of the main drivers of change. New forces of concentration and new mechanisms of differentiation and trade are appearing in the world economy, and to describe them requires using new theoretical concepts. This does not imply the undermining of classical theories, but rather their enrichment to include new aspects. (original abstract) - Dostępne w
