- Problem bezrobocia i jego przyczyny były często opisywane w literaturze. Dlatego w niniejszym artykule zostanie przedstawiona tylko analiza jednej z przyczyn bezrobocia, a mianowicie struktury wykształcenia nieodpowiedniej do potrzeb rynku pracy. (fragment tekstu)
"Structure of education as reflected in unemployment" presents an analysis of unemployed graduates from secondary schools of various types in Poland.
The analysis proves that young people, up to the age of 24, are most unemployment-prone: in 1994 they made up 34,5% of all unemployed people.
The biggest subset of the unemployed is constituted by those who graduated from three-year vocational secondary schools. Higher schools graduates seem to be in better situation.
Big number of unemployed graduates points to the incompatible structure of education that does not respond to the changes in job market. Better contact with reality, with industry and institutions representing job market is the condition for improving the effectiveness of education. First of all, the structure of vocational education in secondary schools should be adapted to the needs of market economy, which will contribute to decreasing the rate of unemployment among graduates from those schools.
