Abstrakt
Obok klasycznych metod oznaczania zawartości cukrów w produktach spożywczych, chemicznych, płynach ustrojowych itp., wysoko sprawna chromatografia cieczowa (HPLC - high-performance liquid chromatography) staje się w ostatnich latach główną techniką oznaczania jakościowego i ilościowego sacharydów.
Oznaczanie sacharydów za pomocą HPLC opiera się na wielu różnych oddziaływaniach próbki z fazą stacjonarną i ruchomą. Należą do nich m.in.: hydrofobowość, rozpuszczalność, tworzenie kompleksów, wymiana jonowa, wykluczanie jonów i wymiana ligandów. W analizie mono- i oligosacharydów znajduje więc zastosowanie wiele metod chromatograficznych, wykorzystujących różne mechanizmy rozdziału składników próbki. Są to:
1) chromatografia jonowymienna,
2) chromatografia podziałowa na jonowymiennych fazach stacjonarnych,
3) chromatografia podziałowa na fazach normalnych,
4) chromatografia podziałowa na fazach odwróconych. (fragment tekstu)

It is the purpose of this review to survey the separation systems applicable in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for the identification, quantification and analysis of saccharides. The paper is subdivided into sections according to different modes of saccharide-separation techniques: ion exchange chromatography (anion and cation), complexes formation, partition chromatography, reversed phase chromatography, and carbohydrate-detection systems: spectrophotometric, fluorimetric, electrochemical, pulsed amperometric and refractometric.
