Abstrakt
Knowledge management became the very popular with practical connotations topic of research interests. A starting point was presentation of general concepts of KM. We have tried to apply the functional approach to knowledge management by pointing out the contents of classical managerial functions: planning, organising and controlling in the case of knowledge. In the paper we advocated the opinion KM can be regarded as two essential areas: human and technological, crossing themselves as a consequence of modern management tasks including classical, behavioural and scientific approach, supported by knowledge. KM technology plays the very crucial role for achieving the ultimate goal: to support users in the effective way. We hope such understanding of KM has clarified the general concepts of management oriented on knowledge. (fragment of text)
