- Druga fala regionalizmu zapoczątkowana została w regionie Azji Wschodniej pod koniec lat 90., implikując przyrost puli nowych porozumień o wolnym handlu. Specyficzna reakcja łańcuchowa sprowadzająca się do zawierania coraz to nowych, w szczególności bilateralnych umów określona została przez Richarda E. Baldwina mianem politycznego "efektu domina", marginalizującego de facto aspekty i determinanty ekonomiczne współpracy handlowej.(abstrakt oryginalny)
The second wave of regionalism expanded rapidly within the East Asian region in the late 90s, resulting in the proliferation of free trade agreements. A specific chain reaction of concluding more and more, especially bilateral agreements was identified by Richard E.
