- Reformy gospodarcze Indii na początku lat dziewięćdziesiątych minionego wieku wprowadziły ten kraj na ścieżkę szybkiego wzrostu gospodarczego. Przemiany te zbiegły się w czasie z reformami ustrojowymi i rozszerzaniem Unii Europejskiej. Efektem reform w Unii Europejskiej oraz w Indiach były między innymi znaczące zmiany w strukturze i dynamice wymiany handlowej pomiędzy tymi obszarami gospodarczymi. Wciąż jednak poziom tej wymiany uznać należy za bardzo niski, nieadekwatny do potencjału gospodarczego oraz demograficznego obu partnerów. W związku z zaawansowaniem prac nad umową o wolnym handlu pomiędzy UE i Indiami oraz bliskim terminem jej podpisania (2011) można się spodziewać znaczącego ożywienia stosunków gospodarczych pomiędzy oboma partnerami.(abstrakt oryginalny)
Economic reforms carried out in India in the early 1990s allowed this country to enter the path of rapid economic growth. These changes coincided with the systemic reforms and the EU broadening. They resulted, among other things, in significant changes in the structure and dynamics of trade between these economic areas. However, the scale of this trade should be considered very small and inadequate to the economic and demographic potential of both partners. Taking into account the progress made in the work on the agreement on free trade between the EU and India and the approaching date of its signing (2011), it can be expected that economic relations between both partners will receive a new dimension.(original abstract) - Dostępne w
