W niniejszym opracowaniu wskazano najważniejsze zagadnienia rachunkowości finansowej banków oraz główne obszary regulacji rachunkowości wpływające na kształt sprawozdań finansowych (a zatem na obraz sytuacji finansowej tych podmiotów). Dotyczą one: założeń rachunkowości oraz zasad wyceny i prezentacji (w szczególności w odniesieniu do instrumentów finansowych). Przedstawiono także propozycje rozwiązań wskazanych problemów.
