- W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań empirycznych nad dyskontowaniem odroczonych wypłat, z których wynika, że: (1) najlepszym przybliżeniem procesu dyskontowania wydaje się funkcja hiperboliczna, (2) (zarówno zwierzęta, jak i ludzie) mogą zmieniać swoje preferencje wraz z upływem czasu. W artykule podano teoretyczne warunki zmiany preferencji w czasie. (abstrakt oryginalny)
The paper presents empirical results on the discounting of delayed payoffs which show that: (1) the best approximation of the discounting process is a hyperbolic function, (2) (both animals and humans) can reverse their preferences in time.
