Germany - Abstrakt
- Scharakteryzowano sytuację gospodarczą Niemiec z lat 2008-2009. Omówiono skutki kryzysu subprime w niemieckiej gospodarce oraz przedstawiono działania rządu wspomagające koniunkturę w celu przezwyciężenia recesji. Wskazano także działania stabilizacyjne prowadzone przez rząd w latach 2009-2010.
This paper aims to analyze anti-crisis and stability measures taken in Germany over the years 2008-2010. The study concentrates on macroeconomic indices which enable the author to evaluate the course of the recession and economic boom in 2008/2009 and the effects of the sub- prime crisis. Also featured is an overview of the German government's efforts to support the economy covered by three packages: Konjunkturpaket 0, Koniunkturpaket I and Konjunkturpaket II. The effect of these packages is then assessed, that is different government expenditures, using the QUEST III model parameters. Investment boosting measures proved to be the most effective ones. They were, however, applied in a limited time frame and thus we saw public finances deficit and debt grow as a side effect. In order to counter this situation, Germany initiated stability measures, that is, in 2009 it introduced the "debt break" (Schuldenbremse) into its constitution and a package of budgetary cuts, the so called "future package" (Zukunftspaket).
