Comparative analysis of economic systems, Review, Economic history - Abstrakt
- The article presents an attempt to appraise the theses and propositions included in the book by two economics historians on the economic policy in pre-war Poland and postwar People's Poland. At the same time, opportunity has been taken by the author to present a different view of circumstances of conducting economic policy and of its effects. The author draws a particular attention to the economic policy in the period of Polish People's Republic, while arguing against the thesis of the book that lays the blame for the breakdown of the system of "real socialism" on its inefficiency and non-reformability.
