- In empirical tests of the concept of a real business cycle use is made of analytical tools such as the harmonic and spectral analyses or scale range analysis. In the article attempt is made to apply those tools in research on dynamic processes in the Polish economy as described by the various business indices inclusive of indices of the capital market (market prices of securities). The results of these investigations suggest the existence of relatively short cycles of 3 to 4 years or less in the dynamics of the Polish economy. (original abstract)
