- Zmiany w strukturze i wolumenie transportu w Unii Europejskiej uwarunkowane są potrzebami transportowymi społeczeństw. Ocena teraźniejszych i projekcja przyszłych zachowań transportowych jest warunkiem tworzenia sprawnego i efektywnego systemu transportowego. Trendy rozwoju transportu determinują przyszłe potrzeby w zakresie zapewnienia dostępności transportowej, redukcji uciążliwości ekologicznej transportu czy też optymalizacji sieci połączeń. Budowa modelu predykcji jest uzależniona zarówno od sytuacji wyjściowej, jak i od analizy determinant wpływających na kształtowanie się preferencji transportowych. (fragment tekstu)
The paper deals with problem of changing travel behaviors of EU citizens. It presents current situation in regard to long distance passenger travel giving detailed information 30 Przemysław Borkowski on trip lengths, duration and modal choices. Later prediction model LUNA developed within ORIGAMI research project is presented and explained. Finally predictions of future travel behaviors and transport trends acquired from LUNA are discussed.
