Abstrakt
Celem niniejszego artykułu o charakterze teoretycznym, jest przegląd literatury światowej dotyczącej nowego nurtu ekspatriacji, jakim jest samoinicjowana ekspatriacja (SIE). Na gruncie dotychczasowych badań zidentyfikowano różnice pomiędzy tradycyjnym, a samoinicjowanym ekspatriantem, przedstawiono też kryteria definicyjne dla SIE. Z uwagi na rosnące zapotrzebowanie na tę grupę pracowników międzynarodowych ze strony korporacji, wskazano na specyfikę w zarządzaniu tymi pracownikami, które stanowić będą o odmiennościach w międzynarodowym zarządzaniu zasobami ludzkimi. The objective of this theoretical article is the review of world literature on the subject of a new trend in expatriation-self-initiated expatriation (SIE). Existing research and studies served as the basis for identifying the differences between the assigned and self-initiated expatriate, and the presentation of criteria defining SIE. Given the increasing demand of corporations for this group of international employees, the paper also indicates the specificity of managing such employees, which determines the differences in international management of human resources.
