- In this article I will discuss the issue of narcissism, which I see as one of the causes of hedonism in the contemporary society. I am of the opinion that self-love and orientation of man to own good, the uniqueness of their own people, entertainment and pleasure, ultimately causing a negative impact on the morale of individuals and their mental health as well as on society as a whole. I analyze different causes and types of narcissism, more detailed features of each type of narcissism, its effects on individuals and the socio-cultural sphere. Hedonism explain it is through the phenomenon of narcissism, which is an integral part of every human being, but not in all cases have harmful consequences. In this article I particularly inspired, among other famous psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, as well as Erich Fromm. According to Fromm's theory, I decided to replace and often confused with narcissism synonymous with self-love.(original abstract)
