In the times of rapid growth and use of Internet, we more and more often face the problem of finding crucial information as easy and as fast as possible. But, because of continuous increase of available and potential sources of information, and of the fact that what we are interested in tends to be more and more concealed, this search can become much more difficult than we expect. Thus, we need tools that will enable us to locate and filter the information on our account. More and more common use of Internet as a source of knowledge and information is resulting in the constant observable evolution of databases. We can see the tendency in changes in the character of stored data (making multimedia format - audio and video more and more crucial). To efficiently manage the data of these types Multimedia Systems are being created. Currently the Multimedia Systems architecture changes into the distributed structure. Моrеоvеr there is a trend for the databases to be similar in form to the concept of "multimedia libraries", thus enabling to be a full illustrative of the reality. (original abstract) - Dostępne w
