Abstrakt
The purpose of this study is to prove experimentally the validity of the guidelines in using the task-based approach as stipulated in the project Guidelines for Task-Based LSP Testing at University (GULT, 2009-2011), coordinated by ECML (European Center for Modem Languages) in Graz. This project, having as main outcome Guidelines for Task-Based University Language Testing (Fischer, Chouissa, Dugovicova and Virkkunen-Fullenwider, 2011), offers a new perspective on the task-based method by providing a real- life environment for both teaching and assessing foreign languages skills. The students are supposed to face authentic tasks which might occur in their future profession, and in this way they are prepared for the challenges that can occur in their career. The originality of this study relies on transferring the guidelines to an upper level- that of assessing BA diploma paper for students from Applied Modern Languages Department. (fragment of text)
