- The article is devoted to basic issues concerning use of subsidies in the free market economy in the forestry-wood sector. Hitherto the issue of grants/subsidies has been sufficiently explained neither in theory of forestry nor in practice. The reason for many different definitions of grants/subsidies is the fact that they play various roles in different domains. The article presents some points of view representing pros and cons concerning grants/subsidies in the forestrywood sector.(original abstract)
