Abstrakt
Branża wypożyczalni samochodów jest nierozerwalnie związana z przemysłem turystycznym. Wynajmowane pojazdy stanowią jeden z kluczowych środków transportu i odgrywają istotną rolę w rozwoju turystyki regionalnej.

The car rental industry is inextricably linked to the tourism industry. Rental vehicles are one of the key means of transport playing an important role in the development of regional tourism. However, car travel and the importance of the car rental industry in tourism is not the most frequently addressed issue in the scientific literature. The aim of this paper is to identify and discuss the links that exist between the car rental industry and tourism. In the theoretical part, a literature search was conducted, mainly in English. The role of car travel was discussed and attention was paid to the marketing activities of car rental companies as well as the increased interest in car rental services in recent years. However, the case study method was used to achieve the aim. The research - using a questionnaire survey - was conducted in car rental agencies located at Václav Havel Airport in Prague. Both literature and field studies indicate a symbiotic relationship between tourism and the car rental industry and the need for more in-depth research in this area.(original abstract)
