- Treść artkułu, to syntetyczny przegląd historii rozwoju infrastruktury komunikacyjnej i transportowej ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem dawnych traktatów i stacji pocztowych. Rozważania autora rozpoczynają się od starożytnych Rzymian, którzy zostawili znakomite podstawy funkcjonowania instytucji pocztowych. W dalszej części omówiono urządzenia posłańcze, przewozowe i pocztowe funkcjonujące w dawnej Polsce (od czasów Mieszka I do przełomu wieków XIX/XX). Treść uzupełniają mapy dotyczące ważniejszych traktatów pocztowych oraz ikonograficzne dokumnety dotyczące m.in. dawnych akcesoriów pocztowych.
The synthetical review through centuries of transportation infrastructure with detailed attention on the ancient roads and the post stations are presented in the paper. At the background of the road network and the post performance cursus public in the Rome empire the ancient Middle Europe devices among them polish are described. The maps of roads and post connections with central domestic and international junction at Warsaw to the times of when the first railways had been constructed. The iconographic documentation includes archives, cartography, accessories and architecture of selected post objects. (original abstract) - Dostępne w
