- Artykuł ma na celu charakterystykę kart płatniczych funkcjonujących na rynku. Omówiono rodzaje kart płatniczych (karty debetowe, transakcyjne, kredytowe, czekowe i opłacane z góry) oraz zaprezentowano polski rynek kart płatniczych.
The paper is addressed to everyone interested in the current movement of plastic cards. The author presented the problems of plastic cards on the banking market. In the first part, history of the "plastic money" has been outlined and different types of plastic cards such as: debit cards, charge cards, credit cards, cheque cards and prepaid cards have been characterized. The main part of the paper looks in detail at the functioning of plastic cards on the Polish finance market. There is also an attempt to explain the full background to the new development and analyse the fundamental changes that plastic cards have brought about in today's retail banking practice. The possibilities of plastic cards on the Polish market are presented. (original abstract) - Dostępne w
