- W artykule omówiono zagadnienie regulacji cen w komunikacji miejskiej, różnicowanie cen usług transportowych oraz uwarunkowania decyzji o zmianie systemu taryfowego (na przykładzie Komunikacyjnego Związku Komunalnego GOP w Katowicach.
The price diferentation is a basic problem of price management. In the municipal transportservices acting under conditions of privated and deregulated economy the marketing keeps an essential place. The price is the only one element of marketing mix that is not bounded with expences and allows for income increment. So that at the units managing of transport services the higher and higher attention is drawn on price management and particularly on the limitation of price regulations and possibilities to differetiate them. The pricedifferentiation allows on income increment among others by usage of differences between preferences of various group of consumers and demand flexibility. Deferentiation can be lead in many directions, but the basic one is the amount of services. The choice of scale of charges system, which is a strategic choice, should be precedeb by detailed economic and organizational analysis (independently from transport policy requirements). The aggregated data efering to performanced in Poland time tariffes shows that they are not universal solutions for public transport services in Poland.
